We recorded each sighting of a specific color and not each and every flower. I helped him the first few times, but he caught on very quickly and was able to do this on his own the rest of the time. I told him to keep an eye out for flowers and when he found some, he needed to make a tally mark on the correct box on his sheet. Then I explained that we were going on a flower hunt. I put the recording sheet on a clipboard I picked up at the dollar store and gave it to Evan with a pencil. Once you have the recording sheet printed, you are ready to go! Going on a Flower Hunt Nature Walk It gave us the chance to record our findings and then use those findings to practice various math concepts.
